TOMASZ LEKAWA

This month we had the pleasure to interview a talented photographer from United Kingdom, Tomasz Lekawa and highlight his editorial "Michal Komarnicki". We are happy to share a selection of photos from this editorial here.

Please tell us something about yourself Tomasz.

My name is Tomasz Lekawa, I’m 38 years old and I’m from Wroclaw inPoland. I currently live in the UK for over 16 years. I am a Protection Adviserand a Photographer.

Whose work has influenced you most?

That was Paulina Duczman , she is one of the best portrait photographers in the world.

What type of cameras do you shoot with?

I’m a Nikon user. Nikon D750 is my favorite one.

Which is your favorite lens?

Ohh,it’s hard to say because I have more than 15 lenses ( laugh) . I think that my favorite one is Sigma DG 135mm f:1.8

What photo-editing program do you use?

Lightroom and Photoshop

Are you a detail oriented person?

Yes,  definitely I am.

Among your works,which one is your favorite? Why?

I think it is one of the portraits I have done in the photography studio a few years ago. Portrait of 13 years old model and dancer Eleanor. This was one of my first works published in a magazine.

What do you like most about being a photographer?

Contact with other people and the fact that I can show my works to therest of the world.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Probably in the same place where I’m now but at the higher level .

Would you like to say something to those who are just starting withphotography?

Yes,of course. If you love what you are doing,be patient and never giveup.
